CEMAC: COSUMAF Financial Markets Commission initiates investor week to boost investment culture in the region

According to the latter, the theme chosen for the first edition in Cameroon follows the guidelines issued by the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO). This theme is: “Stock market education and investor protection in the era of the digitization of financial instruments(Education and Investor Protection in the Age of Digital Financial Instruments).

According to the executive, in the CEMAC Zone, this week could boost the mobilization of domestic savings and sensitize potential and confirmed investors in an environment marked by the arrival of new financial instruments and financing mechanisms such as cryptocurrency and crowdfunding.

Currently, in the CEMAC region, the culture of stock market investment is still weak.
